On September 12, 2005, DBSK released their sophomore album ‘Rising Sun’. The album’s popularity quickly spread past Korea to Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and further overseas.

After releasing their ‘1st Live Concert Album : Rising Sun’ early in the summer of 2006, the band moved to Japan, successfully releasing their first Japanese album, which consisted their older Japanese singles and several new songs.

In late August 2006, Dong Bang Shin Ki returned to Korea with the release of their third album ‘O’-正.反.合 (O. Jung. Ban. Hap.) featuring the band with a more mature image. Dong Bang Shin Ki has also appeared in commercials, dramas, talk shows and radio shows. In 2005, the band released their own set of banjun dramas starring the band members themselves, which were widely accepted by their fanbase, Cassiopeia. Their own TV DRAMA, Vacation, was presented on a movie screen in Korea and they have already finished shooting the sequel, Dating on Earth. Recently the entire band has appeared on X-MAN, Yashimanman and several radio shows.

Despite a recent incident in which an anti-fan delivered a threatening letter and a drink laced with cyanoacrylate to band leader, U-Know Yunho, and Youngwoong Jaejoong’s knee injury requiring surgery in 2005, Dong Bang Shin Ki remains determined at what they do. Each member has their own distinct style, personality and voice, and they manage to work together to create a sound and an image appreciated by fans worldwide.

On September 21, 2008, TVXQ performed a showcase event entitled TVXQ’s “Giving Young Adults Hopes and Dreams-Fall Mini Concert” for the release of their fourth studio album. It was located in front of City Hall, Seoul Plaza. This was TVXQ’s first public performance for their fourth album; they performed the title song, “주문 (Mirotic)”.

The group’s 4th Korean album entitled “MIROTIC” was released on September 26th, 2008; it was originally scheduled for release on September 24th, but was delayed due to the pre-order amount of 330,000 albums.”MIROTIC” is currently the best selling album of 2008 in Korea.

The Japanese version of the title song, entitled “呪文 -MIROTIC-”, was released on October 15th and became the group’s fifth single to reach the number one position on the Oricon Daily charts. It also became the group’s fourth Japanese single to reach number one on Oricon’s weekly chart, breaking their own record and making them the only artist to have four singles top the chart in one year. They have beaten other top Japanese bands such as SMAP, Arashi, and NewS, who have only had 3 releases this year.

The group has also done a cover of the popular One Piece intro “We Are” by Hiroshi Kitadani.
TVXQ was invited to the prestigious Japanese Kohaku Music Festival on 31st December 2008. It is a highly regarded honor for any artist and a feat achieved only by the most successful musicians of the year. TVXQ also became the first Korean band to be invited to this festival.

TVXQ released their 25th Japanese single “Bolero” on January 21st. “Bolero” will be a theme song for the Japanese movie, “Subaru”. TVXQ will also make their debut on screen on “Subaru”. The members of TVXQ will appear in one scene in which Meisa Kuroki’s character visits a bar. They are said to have no speaking lines, but will perform on a stage during the scene.

I’m going to pass through quickly
Well I just wonder which season I’ve already passed
I walk passed the scenery I’m already use to seeing
I can’t slip away from the far away memories alone like this

So that I don’t lost the place that I go to…
That time I met you

On this street, I met you by chance
Even now I don’t forget, from that day on
Everything, like the sad things, the things I carried in anxiety, everything
Through your warmth changes into memories
Proud of your love

The two shells I picked up
Once again the miracle of being able to meet you
If you let me be by your side
The inside of my heart will begin to have kind feelings

Even if a violent rain is falling
Even in strong winds

I will protect this love
If you are here then surely I can get over this
Because I am beginning to be able to think like this, so that I never loose this hand
Let’s always look towards the important times

On this street, we met by chance
Even now I don’t forget, from that day forward
Living, believing, will this is change into happiness
Forever, let’s walk together
Proud of your love
